As Twitter is getting still more popular, more and more people are getting registered. Since Twitter is no longer only social network but also powerful marketing tool for majority of companies. Twitter domain names are getting still more valuable.
Why?
The reason is the same as with the ordinary domain names. 10 years ago it was not that hard to find free good looking .com domain, today most of the good sounded domains are registered. Also bad ones are registered already, just because it is three letter domain without any obvious meaning but it is short and there might be someone interested to buy it for lot of money. Just try to find free three or four letter .com domain. It is almost impssible. Domain names are simply kept as online assets.
There is only one business.com or love.com domain. Therefore the price of these domains is getting ridiculously high. Just imagine that the price of business.com domain is worthy more than $15,000,000.
Since there is still more internet users, the company presence on the internet and also presence in social networks is still more important. Twitter is very popular social network so companies are branding Twitter as well. That is the reason why the price of Twitter domains is increasing.
Again we can follow the same path here as with the classic domains. There is only one www.twitter.com/business or www.twitter.com/love and since they are unique and strong companies are involved in Twitter, the price of these twitter domains is increasing enormously.

I use Twitter to promote too. I agree, it is hard to find quality domains today. I usually add a "-" into a domain I'm going to buy. Nice post by the way. I'm following you on Twitter now.
That's incredible. I've heard the business of domain flipping can be pretty good for making money online! Just imagine, if you can think of a unique but keyword rich domain that hasn't been bought or that is expired, you can buy it for probably $10 or so and sell it for maybe $500 or more! That's an amazing profit.
I haven't been using Twitter as much since I find that it's being taken over by spammers and people that only want to sell a product or service.
